About Indian Pitta :
Indian pitta is also known as Navarang pitta for its dazzling nine colors White, Brown, Sky Blue, Black, Leaf Green, Orange Red, Pink, Buff and Turquoise.
Native to the Indian subcontinent, it inhabits scrub jungles, deciduous forests, and dense green forests.
It breeds in the forest of Himalayas hills, Central & Western India.
It migrates to the peninsula in winter.
It travels long journey from Himalayas to South India around September to October and stays until April- May. After which it begans reverse migration.
This long flight particularly when crossing cities concrete jungle has left them dehydrated,distress and fatal collision with tall and glass buildings .

Every year "Voice Of Nature" rescues these birds give them first aid , veterinary care and release them back to Wild.

Handle with care:

Do's: If the bird is un injured and in secured place away from direct sunlight and predators ( dog,cat,raptors)
Place water bowl with some electral water . The bird rehydrates itself and fly away.

If it is injured in difficult stage to move secure him in corton box with plenty of holes to box for air to flow and immediately call Wild life NGO or Forest dept.

Don'ts :
** Pouring water directly in to the bird throat could lead to death by chocking.

These are insectivorous birds don't feed them with Grains, millets , rice and bread may lead to death.

Don't miss handle the bird or take selfies they are delicate and can die of shock if we hold them.

🐾 Jackie’s Maggot Wound Rescue
Jackie's story is heartwarming! This 3-year-old abandoned Pomeranian was rescued after a student reported seeing him with deep wounds infested with maggots in LB Nagar, Hyderabad. Thankfully, Jackie received prompt veterinary care and spent almost two months in a clinic recovering from his wounds.

Maggot wounds in dogs occur when flies lay eggs in open wounds, which hatch into maggots that feed on the dog's tissue. This can lead to severe damage, loss of blood, and even death if left untreated. However, with proper care and treatment, dogs like Jackie can make a full recovery
Jackie has not only healed but also been sterilized and adopted into a loving home with other abandoned dogs.

We hope Jackie's story inspires more people to care for and adopt abandoned injured animals.

It's wonderful to see cases like Tommy getting the attention and care they need. Ear hematomas can be quite painful for dogs, and prompt treatment is crucial to prevent further complications.
It’s a situation when blood gets collected in the ear and gets extremely painful leading to loss of hearing if not treated

The teamwork between us the and reporter like Sai Charan truly makes a difference in these animals' lives. Tommy's successful release is a testament to the power of compassion and collaboration in animal welfare. 🐶

Wonderful news Moti after her TVT treatment AFA st

Wonderful news Moti after her TVT treatment
AFA stepped in to help this street doggie in need. Her fosters were unable to see this young doggie suffer and reached out to us .
TVT (Transvaginal Tumour)is a painful cancer disease that is usually spread during mating in animals thankfully it's treatable with Vincristine sulphate injections. Sterilization is key to preventing such diseases, and it's great that Moti underwent a four week treatment procedure.
Now she is pain free and happy and will be sterilised soon to prevent reoccurring of TVT
